Lucky Kitchen

Nestled in the heart of Clayton, New York, Lucky Kitchen is a Chinese takeout gem located at 950 James St. Despite its unassuming appearance, this small eatery has steadily built a loyal following thanks to its flavorful dishes, dependable service, and convenient ordering process.

Lucky Kitchen specializes in classic Chinese-American fare, with popular choices including pork lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, and beef lomain combos. The meals are consistently praised for their taste and quality, offering a satisfying option for both locals and visitors exploring the Thousand Islands region. Portions are generous, and combo meals typically come with pork fried rice and an egg roll, making them an excellent value.

Though primarily a takeout spot, Lucky Kitchen does offer limited seating inside. While the interior is simple and lacking in decor, the focus here is clearly on delivering solid food rather than ambiance. For many in the area, it's the go-to option for Chinese food, especially since there are limited alternatives within a 30-minute drive.

The ordering experience is straightforward. While the website interface may feel a bit outdated, it functions reliably. Orders placed online are processed correctly, and payment is handled in person upon pickup - a system that many find convenient and easy to navigate.

Customer service is noted to be consistently courteous and efficient, contributing to the overall positive dining experience. Prices are considered fair, particularly for a tourist-heavy location like Clayton, where dining costs can often be inflated. Lucky Kitchen stands out by maintaining affordability without compromising on flavor.

For those with dietary preferences or restrictions, the menu offers enough variety to accommodate most needs. Regulars appreciate the consistency and reliability of their go-to orders, often returning to try different items over time. Lucky Kitchen may be modest in presentation, but it continues to impress with its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

I was a little skeptical of this place given some of the reviews but I got the beef lomain combo with pork fried rice and egg roll and the food was excellent. Website was a little bit clunky but the order does get sent through to them and then you pay when you get there. I'll definitely be trying out more of their menu in the future.

Food is decent. Service is good. Price is okay considering it is in thousands island area. Will come back again.

This is a small 'hole in the wall' Chinese takeout place. There are a few tables but there is no decor. Food is fine in my experience but I usually just get the pork lo mein. My friend gets the sweet and sour chicken. I don't get it often due to my personal dietary restrictions. It's fine for takeout and the only place within a half hour. I have never had any issues with it despite other reviews. I recommended.

We got the dinner combos, the sesame chicken and the beef and veggies. They came with pork fried rice and egg rolls. We also got an order of crab rangoons. EVERYTHING was delicious! We will definitely order from here again. All came out hot and super yummy!
